Doctor Who Toys - It's Time At Christmas
There are Doctor Who toys and collectables available virtually as long as there are adventures for The Doctor. Over the yearsthere have been some really memorable Doctor Who toys and merchandise, such as the legendary 1960s Dalek costumes for youngsters, and a few that haven't been so fantastic (the Dapol figures return to mind). Thankfully, with the persistent large popularity of Doctor Who toys, merchandise and DVDs, the franchise looks set to be in stores for a fantastic long time still.

Now this is fantastic. I've personally appreciated Doctor Who for twenty years, and was elated when it returned to our tv screens during 2005. Certainly, there are some less than stellar episodes since it returned, however these have been thankfully few. Christopher Eccleston's 9th Doctor brought the series back in vogue, however it was the arrival of David Tennant's tenth Doctor that basically saw the show set out as a global event.

Doctor Who is bigger at this point than it ever was throughout the first 1963-1989 run, and since it came back it has attracted some of the finest talent the British Television and movie business has to supply, both in front of and behind the camera. The assortment of Doctor Who toys at this time around is wide and wonderfully awesome for fans young and recent, who have a massive selection of toys, games, statues, posters and more to add to their Doctor Who collection.

Plus, at the moment that the era of the eleventh Doctor is set to start, ushering in Matt Smith within the title role as our heroic Time Lord, everything will change again and a whole extra range of Doctor Who merchandise will be unveiled, with the new logo, the new version of the Doctor, his new companion, the new version of the TARDIS and a new rogue's gallery of monsters and villains!

The return of Doctor Who took old fans by surprise, but it was the sheer scale of its popularity that has stunned everyone even more. At the moment there are Doctor Who toys, merchandise and collectables on offer at all fantastic stores and on all of the top sites on the net, and the line will carry on growing and changing. Just like the Time Lord himself, Doctor Who toys and merchandise keeps on coming back!
